Financial Resources
The Upward Project’s dedicated financial resources remove barriers and enhance each Scholar’s ability to fully engage, grow, and succeed during college and summer opportunities.
There is no cost to students who participate in The Upward Project. Each Scholar is provided with a laptop, a stipend for school supplies, as well as a stipend for professional attire.
Additionally, all of our Scholars have access to three types of financial support as needed, so that they can say “yes” to crucial opportunities and remain focused on their studies:
Internship Fund
Internships allow Scholars to explore real-world careers and are often the launchpad to full time jobs.
We cover costs to ensure Scholars will never have to turn down a career-advancing opportunity due to financial reasons.

Opportunity Fund
Active participation in social, academic, and professional opportunities enriches a Scholar’s college experience.
We offer support when cost becomes a barrier to involvement or experiences.
SUPPORT WE'VE PROVIDED :
Emergency Fund
Unexpected crises shouldn’t disrupt a Scholar’s education. This fund provides rapid assistance to address short-term emergencies and help with issues that could otherwise jeopardize a semester or college experience.

“The internship fund allowed me to pursue my internship in Salt Lake City without worrying about financial barriers. The fund covered my travel and living expenses and took a huge financial burden off my shoulders because it enabled me to save my summer earnings to pay for my college tuition.”
